With the advent and substantial expansion of outsourcing activities in India, Indian government has initiated formulating specific outsourcing guidelines for certain sectors including telecommunications, banking, etc.

Some of the common challenges and risks faced by the clients in their outsourcing transactions include the vendor’s thorough due diligence, intellectual property ownership and assignment issues, confidentiality and data protection issues, tax liabilities, employment related liabilities, business continuity aspect and related insurance and insolvency issues, and dispute resolution.
